When you donate to Oswego County SPCA, you are feeding, housing and providing veterinary care to hundreds of animals in our care.  We don't use your donations to pay a staff or keep an office.  We want every penny to help the animals, not ourselves. 

The pets and their well being are completely supported by you, the kind and generous donor. Oswego County SPCA is an all-volunteer organization. We are paid by the animals and their love. We are paid by saving little lives, maintaining them, and then by the smiles of those who take one of our wonderful companions into their homes. That's our payment. If you'd like to join us by giving some of your time and love, consider becoming a volunteer.

We are investigating the specifics for those who may wish to extend their commitment and love to animals beyond that of their own lifetime by leaving a part or all of their estate to Oswego County SPCA. Not sure how much to give?

We're considering the ability to Sponsor a Pet , where with your donation you get a picture of the animal you choose and perhaps a letter of thanks from him/her and the Oswego County SPCA. We will only allow one animal per sponsor, so the animal you choose will be only yours, and in most cases you may even visit your sponsored animal and give it some much needed love.

What would it cost to sponsor say a cat or dog in our care for a year? Approximately $100. This would purchase food, litter (if a cat), things like water and food bowls, a litter box or leash and occasionally toys and treats. Some of this donation could go towards veterinary costs for things such as shots, worming, spaying/neutering, or if this pet should have to visit a veterinarian for an illness or injury. Sponsorship would be once a year, until the time the animal was placed in a good home. It should be noted some animals in our care have special needs and may be in our care for their entire lifetime. In those cases your sponsorship means the most. 

While we work out Sponsor a Pet, and other dynamic programs that bring value to your donations, realize that every dollar given makes a difference, and by you giving, you yourself have made a difference.
