Join us in helping those who can't help themselves. Volunteer with

OCAWL-SPCA

Some call them volunteers, but to the animals they're heroes. They're people giving them not just food and attention, but social contact and much needed love and friendship.

Volunteers help our animals feel more at home and more alive and loved by interacting with them through play, grooming, and love until permanent adopters can be found. This is an important job, giving one of our many cats, and in some cases a dog, important social interaction, making them feel better about themselves, there-by making them take better care of their appearance, more happy, and making them more adoptable to good homes.

If you love animals and have time to give, even if it's only one day a month or just at our fundraisers, we can always use the help.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Foster Cat Care Helper - helping out at one of our cat foster facilities giving and receiving love, playing with kitties, but also very importantly feeding, scooping litter, and keeping a clean environment for cats to live.  Must be dependable and dedicated to animals.  It is a lot of work but you will see, the animals are very appreciative of it.

Fundraising Committee Help-

We are always in need of people to help out at our various fundraisers throughout the year.  Check out our list of events on the EVENTS page and see if you're maybe available to help out.  It may be manning a table or setting up and tearing down, but every function is an important one.  Also we can use help in soliciting donations from local businesses for our annual Holiday Gala's auction.  Call 342-9856 to learn more about volunteering.

Interested?

All volunteers are required to fill out a simple volunteer application. You may either download the application from our website (20K, PDF), or we can mail you one by contacting OCAWL .
